How Should I Care for a Carbon Steel Knife?
Carbon steel knives are highly prone to rust, so it's essential to keep them as dry as possible at all times.
Even during cooking, be sure to wipe off moisture with a cloth after cutting ingredients. After use, wash the knife thoroughly, dry it completely, and store it properly.
If the knife is left with water droplets on the surface, red rust can begin to form in as little as 30 minutes, so please handle it with care.
If possible, we recommend applying a light layer of maintenance oil to the surface before storing the knife. This will help prevent rust from forming.
In case rust does appear, be sure to remove it as soon as possible before it spreads.
